Teacher Appreciation is here! Below is a reminder of the activities we have planned and some that we need your help with:
May 6th, 3-4 pm: Chalk the Walk! Come out and decorate our school entry way with words and pictures of Thank you to our Teachers and Staff at WES! Kids are welcomed and encouraged to contribute! Chalk will be provided.
May 7th & 8th: The PTO will be selling individual Thank you carnations to students before school. The student will hand deliver the flowers to everyone they want to show gratitude to!
$1.50/flower. $3 for 2 flowers, $6 for 4 flowers, $9 for 6 flowers, $12 for 8 flowers, $15 for 10 flowers
Teacher "A Few of my Favorite Things" including Amazon Wishlists: We have gone out to the Teachers and Staff at WES and asked them a few questions about their personal likes/dislikes along with what they need for their classrooms. This list is ongoing and will permanently be housed on the PTO website. Our goal is to have this list updated at the start of each school year and one can reference this list throughout the year for gift ideas. Some have included Amazon wish lists - the items will ship directly to the school to their attention - super easy!
Gift Giving Tree: You will see a beautiful tree in the lobby or out in the courtyard this week with the teachers' wishlist items. Please encourage your child to pick a wish or choose one yourself. This is just another way for us to highlight the needs of our teachers!
Thank you to everyone who baked and brought breakfast for our teachers. They love and appreciate it! Thank you to everyone who bought a Brook and Bloosom gift card! They were delivered along with a beautiful tulip this morning!
Thank you to all of the generous donations to our Spring Fling raffle boxes! Funds raised from these boxes will go to subsidize the 2024/25 4th grade trip to Hulbert Outdoor Center.
Items that we are looking for beyond our Amazon wish list can be dropped to in the donation box in front of WES:
Outdoor games/activities - picnic blanket, water balloons, wiffle ball, yard games
S’mores supplies (graham crackers, Hersheys and marshmallows)
Gatorade
Baking supplies - food coloring, baked goods mixes
Cupcake pan and liners
Any other new toys that fit our suggested themes, particularly looking for Barbie, raptor/dinosaur and Bluey items!
